      Bobby Gene Brown Sr., 81, died July 10, 2006, at Cypress Woods Care Center in Angleton. He was born March 16, 1925, in Richland, Texas, to William Ulman and Jessie W. McCreary Brown. He was a member of the Baptist Church, a veteran of WWII, and was retired from Phillips Petroleum.

      He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Margaret Brown; and son, Grady William Brown.

      Survivors include daughters, Sandra Hudzietz of Lake Jackson and Terri Meadows of Crockett; son, Bobby G. Brown Jr. of Louisiana; grandchildren, Connie Marshall and husband, Wallace, Monica Gillespey and husband, Brian, Cheryl Rumsey and husband, Danny, Micah Goss and husband, Johnny, Maegan Hudzietz, Danielle Pennington and husband, Jason; great-grandchildren, Ryan Marshall and wife, Janae, Nathanael Marshall, Zachary Marshall, Caleb Marshall, Derek Rumsey, Kimberlyn Rumsey, Cody Gillespey and Dillon Gillespey; great-great-grandchildren Quincy Marshall and Isabella Goss.

      The family would like to thank Cypress Woods Care Center and their staff for the loving care given to Mr. Brown.

      Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 15, 2006, at the Taylor Bros. Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Steve Meadows officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck.

      Pallbearers will be Brian Gillespey, Johnny Goss, Jason Pennington, Nathanael Marshall, Zachary Marshall, Wally Marshall, Danny Rumsey and Mike Stone. His great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren will all serve as honorary pallbearers.
